TruLife® Acrylic Features Landscape Photographer: Matt Jones

We recently sat down with renowned landscape and outdoor adventure photographer, Matt Jones to talk about his creative process.

Matt brings the outdoors in through his photo adventures. He is especially inspired to capture mountains, waterfalls, and the many wonders of Yosemite Park.  He prefers to shoot in medium format with the highest resolution camera gear.

To capture this rarely seen view in Yosemite, he obtained a sought-after backcountry permit, which allowed him to hike an 18 mile stretch around Half Dome from the north to the south end of the park.  Matt used stitch composition and a 45mm medium format lens to capture this compelling image.

Needless to say, this piece isn’t one to sit unnoticed in the background and was shot for the collector in need of a statement piece for home or office display. This photo was face mounted on TruLife® Acrylic to maximize the incredible depth and sharpness of the subject, and accurately translate the amazing lighting and colors of this image. As Matt said, presentation of this shot on TruLife® brings a “wow factor” he was after..
