Tru Vue® is launching a new series of consultation giveaways to support the custom framing industry, called, The Tru Vue Retail Makeover Boot Camps. These consultation giveaways follow up on last year’s Retail Makeover Giveaway, offering independent custom frame shop owners the opportunity to receive free consultations in specific businesses areas by industry experts. The first consultation launches this July, a Wall Display Design and Sales Training by Meg Glasgow, Tru Vue Retail Makeover consultant and owner of The Gallery at Finer Frames in Eagle, ID.
From July 13 through July 31, 2015, Tru Vue will accept online submissions for the contest, asking store owners to explain their need for the consultation. Entries will be judged on need, feasibility, growth potential and creativity. The winner will be announced on August 21, 2015.
The Wall Design and Sales Training Consultation will include:
- Three one-of-a-kind wall displays, customized for the winner’s shop, featuring pieces glazed with Tru Vue® premium products Museum Glass® and Optium Museum Acrylic®.
- How-to training on the custom designs by Glasgow, including in-person assistance with the final execution of the display pieces.
- Employee training on using the new wall displays as sales tools to help staff communicate the value of upgraded materials and techniques for higher average ticket prices.
“We’ve had an overwhelming response to our Retail Makeover from last year, and while we cannot provide a full makeover to as many shops as we would like, this is something we can do to continue to support custom framers in growing their own businesses,” said Jen Gramm, director of marketing for Tru Vue.
“Enhancing the display wall is a great way for custom framers to get customers excited about the possibilities for their own pieces, as we’ve seen in our makeover winner Sheri Wright’s shop, Fourth Corner Frames.”
