Jarrod Perrott, owner of FastFrame LoDo in Denver, heard about Tru Frameable Moments™ earlier this summer and very quickly recognized an opportunity he had with one of his customers, JJ Lane. The former financial industry professional had been chosen from a Denver-area audition to become one of the eligible men on the popular ABC show “The Bachelorette.”
A regular FastFrame LoDo customer, JJ had recently wrapped up on the program and had a subsequent appearance on the spin-off show “Bachelor in Paradise.” JJ’s memorable personality engaged many Bachelorette fans, and he continues to be included in coverage of the program. Since appearing on the show, his social media following has grown significantly into the tens of thousands, and he has received many requests for interviews, personal appearances, and product endorsements.
“Being on the show was life-changing for JJ,” said Jarrod. “He’s been a great customer, and we were happy to reach out to him to help commemorate this event.” Choosing what to include in the frame required some creativity in bringing together various aspects of JJ’s time on the show. The challenge was representing something that told a story that was originally depicted through the action of television and having it capture the essence of JJ’s personal experience.
Framed with dark chocolate wood moulding, the piece pops with a black and red color core mat which was cut around each item to create contrast. Several photos from the show’s highlights are set below the program’s logo at the top. The freeze-dried rose at the bottom dictated much of the design and selection of materials given the depth required. In the center on the mat is JJ’s personal logo. The entire piece is protected with Museum Glass®.
“I had watched JJ on the show, so I had a good idea of what moments we could consider incorporating,” said Jarrod. “Of course, we had to include a rose since it is such an integral part of the program.” JJ visited the shop soon after the project was completed and was thrilled with the result. Now back home in Denver, he will have this piece in his home to remind him of how this new path in his life first began.
“My favorite aspect of the custom framing industry is working with customers and seeing all the wonderful items they bring in,” said Jarrod, who has been involved in custom framing since his early teens. “Each day is different, and we are always framing unique items.”
FastFrame LoDo is the custom framer of choice for many notable clients in the Denver area and beyond, and is a top-performing franchise nationally. The shop, which Jarrod purchased in 2009, has won several awards for its framing quality and customer service, including four years on the Denver A-List for Best Custom Framing.
