TruLife® Acrylic Features Ocean Photographer: Aaron Goulding

Recently we spoke with ocean, landscape, and portrait photographer, Aaron Goulding about his love for freezing motion and showing action.

For over three decades, Aaron has captured the beauty in and around La Jolla, California with his photography. Landscapes, seascapes, and underwater images inspire his art. His favorite photo shoots take place in and around the ocean because he loves the challenge and the action.

A film photographer for much of that time, Aaron converted to digital photography in 2007. His work has been included in publications worldwide.

This spectacular shot was taken at the Windansea Beach in La Jolla with a Nikon D750 and 24-70mm zoom lens.  In addition to the technical aspects, freezing the motion of this surf breaking image required many variables, including the wind, light, color and of course, the perfect wave. Luck, skill, and art combine to create the perfect shot. Aaron explains more about this process in our interview.

Aaron unveiled this piece, face mounted on TruLife® Acrylic, recently in his La Jolla gallery with excitement.  As he says, “people are going nuts for it!” and the crystal clear quality of the photo on TruLife® fascinates them.
