Entry #3 -The 6th Annual Tru Vue® Framing Competition

By Maureen O'Connor, Tru Vue® Marketing Manager

This finalist chose the textile in shades of blue and green and found inspiration for the design in the hues and textures of the art. Deep and vibrant colors saturate the piece in its entirety, extending the shades beyond the textile itself into the framing elements.

The triple-stacked frames feature two versions of patterned Max Moulding in blue and green and a custom-colored hand-finished facing frame. Navy linen lines the interior sides of the frame, under which a royal blue linen wrapped mat peeks out, creating the impression of a fillet. The artwork is mounted above a backing of green silk.

Glazed with Optium Museum Acrylic®, the framing package offers a clear view to enjoy the pops of contrasting colors that characterize this piece.
