The Work
West Coast photographer Wynn Bullock was a modernist whose work incorporated technical innovation and scientific discovery. A 2014 retrospective at the High Museum of Art provided an overview of his work and served as a mini-history of modernist photography, ranging from straight photography to experiments with light and color. Curated by the High’s Brett Abbott in collaboration with the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, the exhibition featured more than 100 black-and-white and color photographs displayed with Tru Vue® Optium® Acrylic Glazing, including a number of works on display for the first time.
