The Challenge

To create a large format direct print on acrylic glazing with excellent light transmission and no loss of chromaticity for exhibition, which accurately simulates the impression of a computer screen without using back light (lightbox).

The Solution

High Light Transmission
Offers over 98% light  transmittance, providing optimal clarity of colours

Anti-reflective
Cuts light reflections down to 1% compared to 8% with standard acrylic, allowing viewers to see the depth and high contrast of the artwork without distracting reflections

Abrasion Resistant
Minimizes risks during handling for exhibition, installation and transport

UV Protection
99% UV-protection helps maintain the highest degree of RGB colour accuracy over time

Anti-static
Does not attract dust, allowing for pristine display

The Work

Gunther Selichar’s new works are devoted to the phenomenon of perception via mass media, from a scientific, philosophical and artistic point of view. The current series follows a quarter of a century’s work on the relevance of the technological to the perception of mediated content. With a particular interest in the screen and monitor, Selichar considers how these devices have become our main “window on to the world” in contemporary life.
