Tru Vue is a manufacturer of American-made, high-performance glazing solutions for a variety of applications used in the custom picture framing, museum, photography, architectural interiors, and electronic display markets. As a global leader in anti-reflective, conservation-grade, electrostatic dissipative, and high-definition coatings, we deliver exceptional clarity, protection, and long-lasting durability.
Founded in 1946 as Chicago Dial, Tru Vue began as a glass manufacturer for radio dials and later television screens. One of its earliest innovations was a process that etched the glass on television screens, creating a non-glare surface that refracted light and allowed for a much clearer picture. This etched glass product is what brought Tru Vue into the picture framing market in 1970.
Today, Tru Vue sets the standard for glazing materials that enhance, protect, and beautify. Our advanced coating processes and rigorous quality controls are recognized worldwide for long-lasting durability and performance. Led by our most iconic products, Museum Glass® and Optium Museum Acrylic®, Tru Vue offers the industry’s most comprehensive range of high-performance solutions across glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate substrates.
