The Work
This 2014 exhibition held at the National Art Museum of China was in honor of the seminal 1937 exhibit Photography 1839-1937 held at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Considered an important milestone in the history of photography, the 1937 exhibit marked the moment that photography was generally accepted as an art form by major galleries. This 2014 exhibition presented more than 200 original photographs by 53 photographers from all over the world, outlining the development of Straight Photography in the context of 175-year history of photography.
