However, if you are framing original artwork, limited-edition prints, or items with high sentimental value, Museum Glass® is the preferred choice, as it offers the same anti-reflective viewing experience with 99% conservation-grade UV protection.

How does anti-reflective glass and acrylic reduce reflection?
The thin film coatings on Tru Vue anti-reflective glass and acrylic disrupt the energy contained in light waves causing them to flow out of sync. This disrupted wave pattern virtually eliminates all reflection from the acrylic surface.
What is non-glare glass and non-glare acrylic?
Non-glare picture framing glass is finished to diffuse reflected light. Non-glare acrylic is embossed to diffuse reflected light. Both processes also give the glass and acrylic surfaces a matte finish.
What is UltraVue UV70 Glass best used for?
UltraVue UV70 Glass is best suited for easily replaceable or reproducible artwork, such as prints, posters, and modern photographs, where minimizing reflections is a priority over long-term UV preservation.
What is the difference between UltraVue UV70 and Museum Glass®?
While both products offer virtually invisible, anti-reflective viewing on a water white substrate, Museum Glass provides 99% conservation-grade UV protection. UltraVue UV70 provides 70% UV protection and is intended for items that are less sensitive to UV damage.
Is UltraVue UV70 considered conservation-grade glass?
No. To be classified as conservation grade, glazing must block at least 97% of UV rays. UltraVue UV70 blocks up to 70% of UV rays. If you require conservation-grade protection, we recommend Museum Glass® or Conservation Clear® Glass.
